A 1996 Neon uses the 3sp auto transmission. This transmission does NOT use an electronic control device. It has an internal govenor.
Your sensor is part of the MAP sensor which is located On the SOHC look behind and to the left under the top radiator hose you'll see the wires going into a fitting. On the DOHC it's to the right of the oil dipstick under the fuel rail.
If it is a SOHC it is on the air take between 1st and 2nd port
Can someone answer this please i need to know. Please Help Thank You
SOHC and DOHC engines are different. Please ask question again specifying engine.
Not without heavy modification. The '97s only had the 2.0 liter SOHC engine (same as most Neon's).
The air intake temperature sensor can be found on the top of your manifold intake. The sensor will be right in the middle of the intake manifold.
It would have either a 2.0l sohc or a 2.0l dohc. Both are inline four cylinders. It would have either a 2.0l sohc or a 2.0l dohc. Both are inline four cylinders.
