I pulled the carpet kit out of my 96 Dodge 1500 and now the truck will not start.
I can only assume it has something to do with the clutch safety switch being somehow interrupted.
any ides on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.
The neutral safety switch is located on the transmission, passengers side.
go to your moms house and eat her out
located up at the top of the clutch pulll the switch strait out toward you comes out straight i just did it then you will see how to put it back in. there is a little slit a bottom of switch slide wires through push switch back in.
No such part on a Ram 1500.
Clutch pedal lever. SWITCH IS AT THE TOP OF CLUTCH PEDDLE BUT THE OVER RIDE FUSE IS # 20 ON FUSE PANEL REPLACING THE FUSE WILL DISCONECT SWITCH.
It only allows starting when in Park and Nuetral. It also is the reverse light switch.
No. A 1998 Dodge does not have a reset button or kill switch.
It is not adjustable.
Does anyone know how to take off a radiator fan clutch from a 1998 Dodge Dakota 3.9 V6
At the pivot point of the clutch pedal, underneath the dash. Very hard to get to. I would take the driver's seat out. That will make it easier.
The 1998 Ford F1 50 pickup truck neutral safety switch is located on top of the transmission. The neutral safety switch will be near the front of the transmission.
The neutral switch is inside the transmission next to the valve body..It's called a PRNDL switch..not an easy job...
