Very few where built with the cord from the factory. On the diesel it is located on the pass side. The heater element is behind the oil filter. The cord usually has to be bought from the dealer and installed.

∙ 11y agoThe Cummins engine does not come with the cord installed unless the truck has the cold weather package. Normally you have to buy the cord from the dealer. It will go on the passenger side of the engine. The heater is in the block behind the oil filter.
Ford sucks... i paid for a block heater but ford will not install it after I pointer out that there was not one installed But any thing but a ford..
The block heater cord for the 2011 Ford Escape is very easy to find. The cord is located near the battery and the grill. It is usually covered by a plastic covering.
The 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 is an amazing truck that cost around $20,000. Although this truck maybe somewhat expensive, alot of people are interested in them due to the amazing features and the amount of room.
The parts store should be able to tell you that information. I worked at one for ten years and the application catalog would tell you where to put it and in what clock position to install the heating element. It does matter what clock position because of the coolant passages in the block.

The Chevrolet Silverado was Motor Trends truck of the year in 2011 it has more towing capacity and horsepower than the Dodge Ram. If your looking for the better truck the Chevrolet gets my vote.

Most cars have the oil pump located in the oil sump, at the bottom of the engine block.
