Alternator is below the Power Steering pump, halfway down the front of the engine, on the driver's side. It is a metal "cage" deal which is mounted to the engine block. To replace, you have to slacken the serpentine belt via the tensioner on the alternator, then remove the mounting bolts. This should be done from below the car, with the car on a jack or stands. Installation is reverse of removal. The driver's front fender liner will get in the way of the long bolt. I simply snipped some of the plastic away around where the bolt exits, as it isn't necessary.
