I had the same problem, and after checking with the dealer twice, I finally found it. On the 3.8L engine, it is located under a sensor. Remove the plastic engine top cover (unscrew the oil cap and the cover easily pulls off). On the top left side (passenger) of the engine (just left of the top black center cover) is a sensor with with two wires (I think) that will twist off (half a turn to get it off). Twist off the sensor and the PCV valve is underneath.

The 2001 Pontiac Grand Am 2.4 liter engine PCV valve is located on the firewall. The valve will be on the drivers side firewall in the engine compartment.
There is no dipstick for the transmission. It has a check valve on the side of the pan.
It is attached to the valve body inside of the transmission.
the pcv valve is located just to the right of the oil dipstick.you can purchase this for as low as 10$ or less.this pcv valve is known for malfunctioning .youtube it for yourself
with a wrench.

If you stand at the front of the car, looking at the engine, it will be on driver's side near the throttle body.
The 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix fuse box is located in the engine compartment. The fuse box will be on the back side of the battery box.
