THERE ARE TWO SENSORS ON THE CAT. RIGHT AFTER THE HEDDER. YOU WILL PROBABLY NEED A SPECIFIC SOCKET FOR THE SENSOR (SLOTTED) OR GET THE EXACT SIZE "BOX" WRENCH BECAUSE OF THE RIBBS ON THE CAT. TEND TO INTERFERE WITH ANY OTHER TYPE OF WRENCH. !!!!!!!!!IF YOU ARE GETTING THE P420 CODE, IT IS MOST LIKELY THE CAT AND NOT THE SENSOR...BEEN THERE DONE THAT.
where is the crank shaft pistion sensor located on a 2002 Chevy Malibu, and how hard is it to replace
On a 2002 4.3, the knock sensor is located behind the driver side cylinder head. The knock sensor is very hard to reach.
You can replace it from top, the dpfe sensor is located under the throttle at the drivers side of the engine and it hooks on two pipes and electric connector. You have to remove the air cleaner, MAF sensor, throttle and the throttle sensor connector to get to it. It is hidden behind few hoses and connectors so you need too look real hard. I hope this will help you out and good luck!
the speed sensor should be located in or on the transmission. I really dont know how hard it is to replace though. I have never encounterd this problem before. I hope I was of some help
Need to replace the coolant sensor. Not the tempture sensor.
in the exhaust system
if you are facing the engine it will be on the left upperside of the crank pully, on a target wheel. is it hard to remove and replace
Answermine was located below the pcv valve that is located on block not the valve cover, its below the exhaust manifold-------ZX2Fast------------The camshaft sensor is on the head. The crankshaft sensor is in the block, just below the exhaust manni. It will be hard to see with the catalytic convertor in place. The cat will have to be removed to replace the crank sensor.
not hard at all its simple
how to replace rear struts on a 2002 saturn L 300
The Speed Sensor (for 2.5 V-6) is located in the Transmission housing Drivers side behind the Dipstick Oil tube under the Distributor (hard to see!), you must remove the tube in order to access the sensor or replace it. It is a Cylindrical sensor with a tab on it for screwing it to the transmission, screw holding it is a 10mm.
Generally when the crank sensor goes out the engine will not start. The sensor on almost all vehicles is located in the front on the engine near the belts. In most cases it is held in place by a bolt.Usually they can be hard to get to.
