EGR problem
The EGR valve is located on the top of the 1985 Mustang engine. The EGR valve is mounted right behind the carburetor.

The egr valve is on the passenger side of the motor. It is a round canister at the back almost at the firewall.
The EGR Valve is located in the engine compartment on the Ford Focus. The EGR Valve is set almost dead center into the top of the motor. The EGR Valve looks like a small carburetor with caps on the top and sides.
It doesn't have EGR.
If it's a 2.4 L DOHC motor, there is no EGR valve.
The egr valve is located on the back of the motor close to the firewall. It is center between the left and right sides.
No but if there is still an EGR valve problem then its the EGR Valve switch located at the back of the motor. I replaced my EGR valve 2 times before I figured out it was the electrical switch, which had burnt up, for the egr valve. I havent had a problem with the EGR since then..
Looking at the front of the motor, the egr valve is located on the right lower side of the carburetor.

The EGR valve in a 1997 Nissan Altima is located at the top of the motor in a position near the firewall. The EGR valve is held in place by a vacuum line and 2 nuts.
