Although I specialize only in air conditioning, I recently had the experience of having to address this issue. The coolant sensor on this vehicle is located on the driver's side of the engine block, just below the head. If you are standing in front of the vehicle looking at the engine, it is just to the right of the center of the car above the transmission. It is a very small, single wire plug and, as I learned, corrosion build-up, which is apparently very common on this sensor, will cause a number of fault symptoms, including rough idling and hard-start. Good luck.

The tft sensor is located right beside the trans. external filter. The breather box needs to be removed for access to it
Any type of antifreeze will work in a 99 Saturn SL1. Many people recommend using Prestone Antifreeze for cars that are older than ten years.
I would think they would. SL1 vs SL2 I thought was SOHC vs DOHC for an engine.
20A (yellow). It's listed on the panel covering it.

Trouble code P1650 means: Cooing Fan Relay Circuit Fault
No it does not. Most manual transmissions don't even require a fluid change, but it can't hurt. Capacity for the Saturn is 2.6 quarts
a low brake pedal indicates worn brake pads and shoes.have then replaced
The fuse box diagram for this vehicle is found in the owners manual. It is also found on the backside of the fuse block cover.
It is located in the air intake duct which is part of the air box.
something to do with diagnostic codes. you need to have the codes read. I'm having battery problems with my Saturn and it seems to happen then.
