When you open up the cylinder, the serial number would be on the crane by the swivel and on the cylinder frame across from that serial number also.
I believe that is 35 to 38 point dwell for a 1966 Ford Mustang 200 straight 6 cylinder

When you open the cylinder you will see the serial number on the crane or frame at the swivel.
Two places. When you open the cylinder,it is on the frame at the swivel.

When you release the cylinder from the frame,you should find the serial number at the base of the frame and on the crane at the swivel.
the 38 S&W cartridge is shorter the the 38 special and the 38 S&W cylinder is also shorter the the 38 special cylinder. both colt and S&W make the 38 S&W cartridge or 38 short cartridge..........................
the model is stamped inside the cylinder housing
model is stamped on gun frame inside cylinder housing
When you swing out the cylinder, it'll be visible on the frame under the piece that holds the barrel.
