The PVC on a 2003 Ford Taurus 6cyl. Duratec engine. I made a tool out of a 3/4 inch PVC plastic pipe i got from Home Depot. I took the new PVC car part and matched it up with the end of the square plastic part by filing out the corners of the pipe and fitting it over the end of the sguare part of the PVC car part. I did this to be able to reach the old PVC so it could be turned 1/2 to the left to get the old PVC car part out.
In the intake manifold, at the firewall,
PVC valve is inserted in the valve cover and connect to the intake manifold using rubber hose.
A PVC valve is typically bad in a car if a car has an oil leak. Other signs of a bad valve include a collapsed hose and a sludge-like buildup.
It should be right on the valve cover somewhere.

On the valve cover, with a large vacuum hose attached
