I just so happened to have replaced this in my Taurus last night. Open the hood and look to the left side. You will see your serpentine belt between your alternator(generator) and radiator overflow(degas bottle). Your waterpump pulley is the one with 4 bolts on it, all other pulleys have 1 bolt. Obviously the water pump will be directly attached behind the pulley.
To change this you will have to drain your coolant. This is done by removing the splash guard under the nose of the car. I think it is 8 bolts that are 5.5MM and 3 that are 10MM. Your drain is a plastic nut on the right side. The remove battery cables and remove the alternator cables. Remove your retweet bottle, alternator, mount holding the left side of the alternator, serpentine belt, tensioner wheel, and a brace holding the bottom left corner of the water pump. You can now remove the water pump (12 bolts and inlet tube) reverse that to put back in.
Hope that helps.
