Under the hood on the drivers side near breather box you will find a lot of wiring there you need to find, amid the tangle of wires, the odd shaped plug that has approx. 4 or 5 slots and on additional plug that has a single bade sot. These are the scan tool plug ports. there is only one plug that has a single slot in it and the other plug is different in shape from all others as it is not square, rectangular, or circular, it is a combined shape of a triangle and a retangle, I know this doesn't make sense but when you look you will recognise it and see the discription is pretty accurate.
take the truck to your local ford dealer. they can hook up their scan tool and read the code.
