Well, if you look under the hood, and you can't find the power steering reservoir... on some GM's it's actually behind the alternator. If you reach your hand way down you will find it. If this ain't the type and you just aren't sure what it looks like, it will just twist and come out. It will be a black cap with a short black rod. There will be readings for hot and cold.

The 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo windshield wiper fluid reservoir can be found in the engine compartment. The windshield wiper fluid reservoir will be on the drivers side of the engine compartment.

Remove cap to power steering reservoir, add fluid, place cap on reservoir when done.
The power steering reservoir is located on the passenger side rear of the Engine compartment underneath and behind the alternator. . It is a very tight fit.
It is located in the bottom of the washer fluid reservior.
On the 2004 Monte Carlo you may want to check with the dealer but I believe that this car was equipped with electronic steering assist and does not have a belt driven pump
This 1 was tricky. The reservoir is in the back part over the engine. You have to lean over your car (on the engine) to find it. Remove the cap and use a funnel or try to pour it in.
You may have to change the sensor, it's a $9.00 part at autozone.
