I know that on the 1990 3.6 231ci it is just under the air intake manafold. Two wires attached to it with a clip. You might ave to remove the air filter "system" to see it.
Get a Bigger Radiator
if you have had work done on the engine. There is a chance that the intake valve gasket is leaking and your water is going out there. This was the case on mine. The problem is that the bolts to get to take inr intake manafold off are hard to get to but can be done.
replace leaking part and or the gasket where the leak is occuring. check all hoses to make shure its not leaking from the hose
most vacuum leaks are in hoses that are disconnected or have holes in them you can also take a bottle of water and spray it along the side of the intake and base of the carborater if the motor bogs or you here it suck the water in you have found you leak but it can be a leak under the intake and that is a bigger problem to find buy a can of starting fluid and spray it near the gasket and vacuum hoses and if the engine increases its rpm that is where the leak is
one of them will go in the water pump and the other will go in the intake
On a 4.6L engine, I have never seen a water hose under the intake. Anybody else?
Sorry, but what is a 22r ?
It is my guess that it is the water pump. There are no hoses connected to the water pump, so check the two rad hoses and if they are dry, it is likely the water pump. It could also be the head gasket or (unlikley) even the head)
A leak of antifreeze and water from the freeze plugs or from a radiator hose could cause you to find the fluids behind the intake manifold and firewall on your 1995 Toyota Runner. You could begin by checking the hoses to see if all hoses are sealed and clamps are tight.
it is a reserve water intake for the City of Buffalo.
The most likely cause is an intake manifold gasket leak (that is if all the hoses and water pump have been ruled out)
