Suspension air bag or cab air bag? Typically, there'll be a quick disconnect for the air line to the air bag. You undo that (bleed out your air tanks before you do this). On one end of the air bag, there'll be a nut which needs to be unbolted. Once that's done, you unscrew the air bag counterclockwise and it'll come out. If it's a suspension air bag, you'll need to jack up the frame. If it's a cab air bag, you'll need to jack up the cab. Anything more specific than that would require a make and model of the power unit.
If it has air bag suspension, air bags could be shot or the air compressor for the air bag suspension not working.
No. Buy a new bag.
how change the air bag suspention
sounds like your solenoids are leaking, usually in your air bag (suspension). or a hose.
On the air bag itself
negative.
You might damage the actual air bag since there is nothing inside it might tear
Lincoln Town Car uses air suspension on the rear wheels. There is a motor plumping air to the suspension air bag. If the motor runs for too long or too frequent it will trigger the suspension light. Usually it means there is a leak on the air bag, that is why it keeps plumping. The life time of the air bag is about 10 years. I changed my 1996 TC on 2006. Bought online for $100 each (aftermarket). You can simply apply some sop water on the air bag and see if it leaks (just like the way you check tire leaks). If you don't replace the bag the motor might burn out soon. The air bag is not hard to replace. No special tool needed, but you have to jack the car very high. So I don't think you need to do the "non-air" conversion.
The Firestone Air Bag suspension kit will work great for heavy off-roading, especially when mudding.
