how do i remove the upper intake manifold on a 97 chevy cavalier 2.2l v4
Located in rear of engine under intake manifold , left side of engine
2.2L Between the radiator and engine,,,, 2.4L Between the engine and firewall....both bolted to the engine head.
bottom of engine below ex manifold.
There are 2...On the exhaust manifold and after the cat. converter
On a 2.2 its on the backside of the engine below the intake manifold......
On the 2.2L engine they are in the front between the exhaust manifold. On the 2.4L engine they are under the aluminum cover on the top of the engine. There are no plug wires on the 2.4L engine.
you can bolt up engine but you will more than likely have to exchange exhaust manifold as well as the computer ecm/pcm/ecu its diffently not p[lug and play
If it's an automatic you will have to remove the exhaust manifold because the thermostat is located on the backside of the engine on the driver's side under the exhaust manifold.
NO, a 2.4 and a 2.2 are totally different engines. Take a look. On the 2.2 the exhaust manifold is in the front of the engine bay and on the rear of the engine bay on the 2.4......Under the hood it just ain't the same.
located on the water pump housing on back passenger side of the engine under the exhaust manifold.
NO it is not. But you do need to change the oil and filter.
