Normally it means you have moisture in the motor. Head gasket or intake gasket leaking. Most of the time I've seen the head gasket leaking to be the reason. Check your oil level frequently. If the level starts to rise, then you probably have a head gasket leaking. The problem is oil does not steam. The steam is coming from a water based substance in your motor. Example..... Water, antifreeze, etc.
For steam to come out the exhaust you probably have a bad head gasket or a cracked head. If the turbo had an oil seal fail it would cause blue smoke to come out the exhaust.
The heater core has failed.
no.....the heater would have to be leaking
There are a few different things that can cause steam to come out of the vents in a 1997 Lumina APV. A bad heater core, a broken water hose, and a blown intake gasket can all cause this.
Heat and steam coming from the dash and air vents after replacing the water pump means that a hose is hooked up backwards in the new installation. The heater is actually taking on water when it is supposed to only take on hot air.
too much oil in chamber when oil change was performed.
If that smoke is more like steam, you have a leaky heater core.
No. A bad head gasket would cause water to come out the tailpipe. You will see white smoke. Leaky rings would cause oil to come out the tailpipe. You will see blue smoke.
Boiling a glow stick can cause it to rupture, releasing the chemicals inside which can be harmful if ingested or come in contact with skin. Additionally, the heat can cause the chemicals to react uncontrollably, leading to a messy and potentially dangerous situation. It is not recommended to boil glow sticks.
A Crystalliser typically removes water vapor and turns it into ice crystals. The gas that would come out of a Crystalliser is generally water vapor or steam.
Have you checked the check ball which is below the big screw on right side crancase just in front of oil pump, Have seen them stick and cause this problem.
The blower resister is not supposed to be grounded. The smoke may be steam from a leaky heater core.
