If it is coolant, it is a leaking heater core. If it is just water, the A/C condenser drain line is plugged. Crawl under the car passenger side and find the drain line. Use a blunt object such as a pencil to unclog it. One other remote possibility is a leak at the windshield.
Answer 2I just recently had this problem, did your blower motor or resistor go out to? It's because under where the cabin air filter is located the weather strip is either off, or it is not there. you have to loosen one screw to get to it under a black panel on the passenger side under the hood. Right by the vent where your wiper blades are located, ander the black panel is your answer.
Answer 3Answers 1 and 2 are both correct, but limited. I offer the following additional information.
Regarding "coolant." Generally, when there is a coolant leak into the passenger compartment, there will be a very strong ODOR, usually not very pleasant!!! If a disagreeable odor ACCOMPANIES the leak, that confirms a coolant leak, probably the HEATER CORE, but possibly a HOSE connection to the core. It is important to MAKE SURE the core is truly defective [leaking]before replacing it, as a replacement core is expensive.
Regarding the other possible leaks in answer 1, a "leak at the winshield," or a clogged/backed up condensate "drain line." These are two possibilities, BUT there are many other possible sites for a leak admitting rainwater. One was pointed out in answer 2, which only applies for vehicles in which the RESISTOR assembly is mounted to the PLENUM[encloses the core] INSIDE the engine compartment. On many vehicles the resistor assembly is mounted inside the passenger compartment, and therefore cannot be involved in a leak.
Some other examples of possible rainwater leaks include: the gasket around the right front door, plugged drains at the bottom of the right front door, the vent window gasket [if your vehicle has one], and the right windshield wiper assembly [but only if it penetrates the COWL (firewall)]. There are probably a few more possible sources, but that is all I can think of right now.
The very first step in correcting ANY leak problem is to DETERMINE the ACTUAL SOURCE OF THE LEAK!!!!! It may not be cheap, but it will be cheaper than replacing an expensive heater core that was NOT leaking!!!!! PLUS, there is a lot of expensive LABOR required to replace a heater core!
Hope this helps. Good luck.
I had this problem and found someone took out the cabin air filter and while replacing it found the rubber trim was displaced. Popped it back on and no more water. Its under the black plastic trim vent piece between the wipers. Don't have to remove wipers just park them vertically then remove the plastic screws to check.
your back window or the trunk rubber is leaking. see if you can talk a small friend into going in the trunk with a flashlight and take a garden hose and literally soak the rear of the car.i had the same problem and mine was the rear window was leaking on both sides from the top
Most likely loss of refrigerant.
hard fault code What is a hard fault code?
no gas entering piston chambers or no spark in the spark plugs. I assume the starter is spinning the engine?
Any problem with the car that affects its emissions will cause the light to come on and stay on until the problem has been fixed. (There are literally dozens of possible causes.)
this happened to my 98 intrigue, i replaced the spark plugs and hasn't happened yet...worse case scenario you might have to replace the spark plug wires as well but I've only replaced the plugs and its fine.
Heater core may be leaking Door seal? Windshield seal?
The cause is a GM design flaw in the blend door actuators. The repair is an updated design control head which takes into account warpage of the blend doors themselves. As far as I know the updated part is only available at the dealer.
In order of probability: Low or incorrect fluid, over-revving engine while shifting, valve body issues (including solenoid failures)
Are you sure it's water? Sounds like your heater coil may be leaking...
