No. The 72 Chevy more than likely came with a np203. You will need one of the following to mate with a 700r4 or 4l60e: np208, np231, or np241.
you pour the oil right into the tube that the transmission dipstick came out of. Use a funnel, watch the amount trans fluid that you our into the funnel it will overflow and make a mess. Good Luck DAHouse
i got a rebuilt tranny plus install for my 98 blazer for 1800 from lee miles, i also had problems with it (the torque converter came loose once and it stated leaking trans fluid as well at one point.)
The 2002 Chevrolet Blazer came equipped in the 4.3L V6 and 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission. The most current (as of July 2014) and downwardly compatible automatic transmission fluid specification for this application is Dexron VI.
look at the info sticker inside drivers door. My 89 blazer came with 31x10.5x15 from the factory.
