depends..if the tranny came out of an s10 with 4.3 yes..if it came out of an s10 wih a 4cyl. probably not..
remove front and rear drive shafts. remove transfer case. remove tranny lines at trans. unbolt and remove torque converter from flex plate. drop exhaust. remove dip stick tube. un-bolt tranny and move tranny slightly backwards to gat past locating pins. remove tranny, (not a single person job).

you can do anything if you want it bad enough. but yes you can. the 1985 S10 4x4 blazers came with 4 cylinder engines. I know because my parent bought one. it was sorely under powered though.
