You really don't have to remove anything but the air bags and turn off the switch for the air ride system... But if you want to you can remove the Air Ride light bulb that will be on all the time, take out the compressor next to the battery, pull the air ride computer out which is next to the switch, and the hardest job would be removing all the air lines and the wire harness for it ... I would take everything off and sell all the good parts on ebay and you could get back some of the money you spent on the spring conversion kit.
Go to http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/tech/lincoln-mark-viii/Coil-Spring-Conversion/index.htm
if you order the conversion kit from strutmasters.comit comes with a diagram and its very simple
No, but you can install a spring suspension.
http://www.suncoreindustries.com/instructions/50F-30-4.pdf on that webpage you can see how to disconnect the warning sign for the air suspensions.
Disconnect the electrical connections and remove the 4 bolts.
Unfortunately you have to remove the tank, siphon as much as you can and then remove the tank.
Mark where the wires go, disconnect the wire connector, remove 4 screws and remove. Reverse the procedure to install.
special tool search eBay
yes they will work
The best way is to replace the "Air Suspension" with replacement Spring Conversion, found at http://www.americanairsuspension.com/ This site will ship the parts to you, and either you install, or have a smaller mechanic install.
how can you manually change from heating to ac on a lincoln mark viii 97, because it will not do it automatic. My mechanic does it in spring and fall but it cost too much
The best bet would be to do a Google search and you'll get an answer.
