Whoever wrote that last answer needs to learn how to type. I asked my dealer what the warranty was and they told me that they can't say. I know when I went in I needed a new 3rd cylinder and that was covered. The dealer told me that they don't know what is covered until they submit the parts order and it will come back as covered or not covered.
yes they are all electric components are covered for the life of the warranty. It will depend on the warranty. Powertrain usually only covers internal engine and transmission parts.
As a Warranty Administrator for Daimler Chrysler for over 7 years, I can tell you that neither Chrysler or aftermarket service contracts have ever covered power steering components with a drivetrain/powertrain service contracts. Examples of covered components may be engine, transmission/transaxle, transfer case, and differentials.
In car terms a comprehensive warranty often covers the parts and labor for things like the powertrain, electrical systems, power steering, brakes, suspension, heating and cooling, and air conditioning components. Many things are not covered so make sure to read the warranty completely, including the part on what is not covered.
