I believe it is a blend door actuator. The blend door actuator "blends" hot and cold air enabling you to control the climate control temperature.
Are you sure its not a "blend door" actuator? Belnd door actuators are part of the HVAC system and control the hot/coldair flaps.
In addition to Ford, there are now third party manufacturers of the blend door motor/actuators - each has their own part number.Check your local parts store and ask for it by name instead of the number.See "Related Questions" below for more

When the actuator driver door actuator goes, the whole system acts strange. Part typically costs about $25USD, but requires a bit of labor to install.
If it's a blend door actuator manufactured by WOORY, I have the same thing. I believe it's similar to an AC Delco (GM) part number 89018365, which goes for anywhere between $90 and $180 (including aftermarket versions). I'm looking at replacing mine also.
Sounds like the Blend Door actuator, a $6.00 part but about $2,000 in labor, the dash has to be removed to do the job right.
