Diesels as a rule don't have catalytic converters. THey might have particle filters though.

might have a clogged catalytic converter. does your convertor get red hot? and if so then your may convertor may have melted the inside. This is not that uncommon and it will cause the truck to be doggy and no power. Check this and see what you fond.
