According to my Chilton's Auto Repair Manual : The 302 V8 in a 1978 Ford Mustang II is rated at ( 134 horsepower ) from the factory ( it doesn't specify for California with that size of engine )
220 horsepower
141 horsepower
205 horsepower
the 1995 Ford Mustang GT was rated at 215-horsepower
My 1991 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 L ( 302 ) was rated at 225 horsepower
200hp
2002 mustang GT rated at 260 horsepower and 302 ft.-lbs. of torque.
From the factory ( 220 horsepower ) for the High Output 5.0 liter / 302 cubic inch V8 in a 1988 Ford Mustang GT
There is no such thing as a 1972 Boss 302 mustang. They were made in 1969 and 1970. They had 290 horsepower but it was (according to some at Ford) under-rated.
I believe that is rated at 205 horsepower from the factory
