your 6.6 is either a 403 cu in (most likely) of if its a 4 speed it may be a 400 cu in.... either way, the 403 in the 1979 is a whopping 185 ponies and 235 getty up's in the 400... Yours should be the very similar Good luck

It is advertised that the ls1 trans am gets 305 horsepower but it really gets 345 horsepower, GM didnt want the trans am competing with the corvette
