The 95 pump won't pump enough pressure to run the 97 engine. 2 different pumps. MUST use a 97 pump.
97 chev cav fuel filter is located in under rear passenger side right by the wheel axle.
Need to know what year S10 you have to tell you where the fuel pump relay is.

With a fuel pressure guage connected, Key on 60-65psi any less & engine will be hard to start possibly cranks wont run. If motor starts than readings should be 54-58psi
As long as it's the same style of tank it will fit. The tank may fit but the fuel pump is different.
The fuel pump can not be rebuilt. Replace it with a new one.
try the fuel pump assembly instead
