A 351 Ford V8 firing order is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8
Firing order is different 1992 to 1995 h.o have 351 firing order
There is no such thing as a 2001 f250 351 Windsor. I believe the last year of the 351 overhead valve motor was 1996.
1-4-2-5-3-6 This is not correct....the firing order given here is for a 6-cylinder motor..... firing order for the 1997 Ford Explorer & Mercury Mountaineer (the only vehicles in 1997 with the 302 - 5.0) is same as the 351 motor; 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8

early for 289 302 windsor firing order was changed to the later 351 windsor firing order to smooth out the firing of cylinders. The early 289 firing order made cams sound lumpy and could cause extra stress on crankshafts when engines were used in motorsport at high rpm
the firing order is the same on both engines but the timing is different
1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 Rotor turns counterclockwise.
