IRCM= Integrated Relay Control Module

CCRM= Constant Control Relay Module

They are basically the same thing. The module consists of 4 relays that work in conjunction with the PCM to make things work.

1. Relay for the PCM

2. Relay for the high and low radiator fan speeds

3. Relay for the fuel pump

4. Rely for the Air Conditioning clutch on the compressor

Where is the location of the cooling fan relay switch on a 1994 Ford Thunderbird?

The relay is called the CCRM or IRCM and is located in front of the engine bay, between the air filter and the front passenger light, it has a wiring harness that is screwed into the module. Oh yeah, btw: CCRM = Constant Control Relay Module , IRCM = Integrated Relay Control Module. This relay contols the fan, fuel pump and A/C clutch if I'm not mistaken.

Where is the fuel pump relay on a 1990 ford Taurus?

It is built into a module/relay assembly called an Integrated Relay Control Module(IRCM) and it is located directly under the plastic piece running across the radiator support that has all the emmissions stickers on it. Remove the four 8mm screws to remove it and you will see a black box about 4inches by 4 inches. That is the IRCM.

Where is the fuel pump relay switch in a 1994 Mercury Cougar?

It's located in the IRCM (Integrated Relay Control Module) just in front of the air filter, front of the car, passenger side. cannot locate the ircm there

Why is the engine cooling fan on my 93 Ford Taurus not working?

Chances are you have a bad IRCM which stands for integrated relay control module testing it requires a special tool found at the ford dealer or a ford wiring diagram and an electrical engeneering degree. best chances are a junk yard the control module is located on the core support drivers side and has a aproxx 4 inch wide grey connector good luck The ford doctor

Fuel pump relay on an escort?

its in the ircm which is a black box under the air filter if its bad you have to replace the whole unit

What is a integrated relay control module and where the heck is it located in a 1998 ford escort zx2 sport 2L dohc motor?

the ircm is a a module that houses relays that control operation of the a/c clutch , cooling fans and fuel pump.it is located under the air filter case.

Where is the IRCM - integrated relay control module on a 1993 Mercury Sable - Ford Taurus?

It's on top of the radiator, underneath the plastic cover. Remove the plastic, and you'll see two modules. It's the bigger of the two, closest to the battery.I have a 1995, and it is on top of the radiator frame.When you open the hood and look down, on mine, there isa black plastic piece that has stickers on it with info about thecar. If you lift that black plastic piece up, the integrated relaycontrol module is right underneath it.See "Related Questions" below for more

Where is the fuel pump relay for a 1993 mustang with a 4 cylinder?

Under the driver's seat. Actually on '92-93 and I believe '90-91's as well the fuel pump relay is in the (IRCM) Integrated Relay Control Module that is located on the passeger strut tower in the engine compartment. It's a computer looking thing. There are 4 relays in there together and they are not replaceable. You have to get a whole new unit from Ford (about $120) or go to a junk yard and pull one. For a '93 it must be from a '93 or '92 vehicle. Hope that helps, Mike or turbomustangmike from TurboFord.org

Where is the fuel injector relay in a 1986 Mercury Sable?

There is no "fuel injector relay." Power is supplied to the fuel injectors through a power feed that comes directly from a leg off of the PCM power relay circuit, and the ground side of the injectors are pulsed from drivers inside of the PCM. There is a PCM power relay that supplies power to the PCM (main computer) and there is fuel pump relay, that supplies power to the fuel pump. Unfortunately neither of those relays is servicable by themselves. They are built into a unit called a IRCM or CCRM. (Integrated Relay Contol Module or Consatnt Control Relay Module). This unit is a box mounted directly under the plastic panel that runs across the top of the radiator support, held on by four 8mm screws, and has all of your emmissions stickers on it. Remove that panel, and you will be staring right at a box that is about 4inches by 4 inches. That is the IRCM. The last time I checked, it costs about $150-$200. If you are trying to fix a no-start condition, however, it may not be the problem. The IRCM does fail from time to time, but it rarely does. I would not just throw this part at the car, without properly diagnosing it. The most common problem with this car is a corroded ground input from the battery to the PCM relay circuit. Check very closely the battery ground wire. There should be one or two smaller black wires coming off of the battery ground wire. One of those is the PCM ground. These often get corroded or sometimes people replace the cable, and leave it off, causing the PCM relay to loose it's ground. This would prevent the PCM and anything else from getting power, since the relay will not switch on without it's ground. I would check that first before doing anything else. If that isn't the problem, then full diagnostics should be run before replacing anything.

Where are the fuel pump relays and fuses in a Ford Taurus - Mercury Sable?

It is located in the engine compartment fuse/relay box which is close to the battery.More details...Here's what I have gathered so far from the various Owners Manuals: 1986-1995 - Constant Control Relay Module (CCRM) covers the fuel pump also - See "Related Questions" below1996-1997 - engine fusebox #101998-1999 - engine fusebox #10 and #292003 - engine fusebox relay #16See "Related Questions" below for moreIt is built into a module/relay assembly called an Integrated Relay Control Module(IRCM) and it is located directly under the plastic piece running across the radiator support that has all the emmissions stickers on it. Remove the four 8mm screws to remove it and you will see a black box about 4inches by 4 inches. That is the IRCM.ITS LOCATED ABOVE THE RAD. IN A BLACK BOX WIT THE FAN RELAYThis would depend on the year. Which year do you have?The relay is in the fuse/relay box under the hood it is relay number 29Its in a relay box located under the plate over the radiator. There's more then one relay in the box. Its a unit that comes in one part.

Why does fuel pump on 93 Taurus gl 3.0 not run for 2 seconds when key is turned on ECM and Coil are replaced ICModule checked ok at Auto Zone. Car Cranks but will not start Changed distributor?

If the fuel pump is not coming on, either the fuel pump is not getting what it needs to run, a power or a ground, or the fuel pump itself is bad. The easiest place to see if the fuel pump circuit is getting power is at the intertia switch. That is commonly called the fuel reset switch. I think it's in the trunk, probably on the left side. Find that switch and use a 12 volt test light at the wires coming in and out. Have someone cycle the key and check for a 2 second pulse on. If you have no 2 second pulse, then the fuel pump circuit has no power, possibly a fuel pump relay could be bad, or the circuits in or out of the fule pump relay could be open. If you have power, then I would suspect a bad fuel pump. Drop the tank and check for a 2 secnd pulse at the pump as well as a ground. If you have those, then the FPump is bad.The bottom line is, you are looking for a fuel pump or fuel pump circuit problem. Looking at the ignition system is barking up the wrong tree. Don't be so concerned that the vehicle has a computer and electronic ignition. That is making this more complicated than it really is. Concentrate on the fuel pump system. You either have a bad fuel pump, or the fuel pump is not getting power or a ground.The FP system works like this. There is an electric fuel pump in the tank. It has a ground all the time. There is a fuel pump relay that supplies power through an intertia switch that has normally closed contacts that go open if you are in a wreck. The FP relay is simple. It is nothing more than a simple electric switch. It has four pins. It has power when the key is one at two pins all the time. One of these power pins supplies power to one side of an electromagnetic coil inside the relay. The other power pin will supply power to the fuel pump through a third pin when the contacts inside the relay are pulled closed by the electromagnetic coil. The PCM turns on the fuel pump by providing a 2 second ground to the fourth pin, which turns on the electromagnetic coil. So as soon as you turn the kley on, you should have the fuel pump come on for 2 seconds regardless of whether you also have an ignition system problem or not. So forget the coil, pickup coill, spark plugs, and anything else in the ignition system. We need to find out why you have no 2 second initial burst from the FP when you turn the key on. Start checking at the FP and work your way back to the PCM, and you will find your problem. It's either your FP, FP relay, ground, power, or a wiring problem.I ran a jumper wire from battery to in line at the inertia switch for fuel pump The fuel pump worked I was told that the relay is in the ECM I replaced the ECM No help. Still Cranks but no start. I am not getting any power through the wire at the inertia switch with the key on. Should this have power at all times when the key is onMOREThe fuel pump relay is located in a module called a IRCM.(Intregrated Relay Control Module) All that thing is, is a switch box that houses the FP relay, PCM power relay, cooling fan relay, and AC clutch relay. It is a non-repairable black box which has about 20 wires aprox 4 inches by 4 inches square bolted to the top of the radiator support. The FP relay is NOT in the PCM. The FP relay coil receives 12 V+ through IRCM pin #12-yellow wire. The PCM grounds the coil in the FP relay through pin #18-blue/orange wire. This pulls the relay contacts closed, which completes a circuit between pin #12, yellow wire (which is the same FP power source as the relay coil) and pin #5- pink/black wire which is the feed to the inertia switch.Take a 12 volt test light, go to the pink/black wire at the IRCM, have someone cycle the key and check for a 2 second pulse. If you have power, then there is an open between there and the inertia switch. If there is no power, probe the yellow wire for 12 V+ (actually there are two yellow wires, and a red/green wire all have power with the key on) While your at it, check the black/green wire, pin 15 for a ground.If all is good, then probe the blue/orange wire for a 2 second ground (-) when the key is cycled. This is the GROUND signal that the PCM sends for 2 seconds when ythe key is cycled on. If you have a 2 second ground, then suspect you have a bad IRCM. If there is NO 2 second ground, then you either have an open circuit between there and the PCM, or something like a ground or power input missing to the PCM (some reason why the PCM isn't working), OR you have bought a bad PCM.
