The average life span of a 2003 Ford Taurus is probably about 250,000 miles. This does not take into account the regular maintenance of the vehicle or how and where the car is driven. Many cars will last well past 250,000 miles if they are taken care of with regular maintenance and good driving habits.
I have 112,000 miles on my 2003 Ford Explorer and it is still running strong!
Does not have them. Greased for life.
Depends on how well it was taken care of. Anywhere from 115k to 200k miles before it falls apart.
The Taurus SHO has a timing belt that must be replaced every 100,000 miles. All other Ford Taurus's have a chain that should last the life of the engine.
The Owners Manual cites green (conventional) and yellow (long-life) for Taurus / Sables
The Ford Taurus does not have a timing belt, it has a timing chain. The timing chain is designed to last the life of the engine, and does not need routine replacement.
If properly maintained at recommended intervals, 150,000 - 250,000 miles. If not properly maintained, well, it could go any day now.
is it safe to drive from new orleans to fort lauderdale in a 1999 ford taurus with 155k miles <><><><> Impossible to answer without knowing the condition of the car, and how well it has been maintained.
It has a timing chain that should last the life of the engine.
it is a piece of crap.. Mine is a 98 and it is on its last leg.. I have leaks everywhere!!
Never. The Taurus engines...both the Vulcan and the Duratec V6s...both have a timing CHAIN that lasts the life of the engine, not a timing belt.
If you don't know where brake fluid goes please stop by any auto parts store and someone there will be happy to show you. Accidentally mixing fluids could cost you big money and even your life.
