∙ 10y agoThe EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve opens when vacuum is applied. The EGR vacuum solenoid opens and closes the vacuum supply to the EGR valve when it is commanded to do so by the ECM (Engine Control Module).

The starter solenoid is attached to the starter.
It's on the drivers side of the firewall. Next to the master cylinder vacuum booster.
there is no such thing as an egr position sensor
If you want to locate a new egr valve, check with your local auto parts store. If you want to know where the egr valve is located on your vehicle, post the year and engine size of your S10.
Need to know what engine it has.
What engine???
There is no EGR valve on the 2002 4.3L (code W)
2003 4.3's do not have an egr valve.
Test it with a vacuum gauge.
YES.
It depends if it is a 4.3 or the 2.2 engine but, in general the EGR valve is located on the intake manifold.
