350
I have a 1974 nova CUSTOM(4-door) 350 with (ac) and it costed $3125 from the dealership in November 1974. I still have the original bill of sale.
the 70 engine came in a couple of different horsepower ratings and had higher compression ratios than the 73 model 350 and the 350 of 73 only came in one horsepower rating and was smogged down with emission controls.
Answerapprox. 8 quarts (plus shipping and handling)
The novas had two type of engines, If I remember the one for yours might be a 350, I had a nova '68 , had a 307 short block in it, but a old friend had a nova 2 dr coup which had a 350 in it back in the year of 1978.
A Turbo 350 would be the best and most logical choice
first make sure the cylinder you are doing is at TDC on the compression stroke. Next you tighten those rockers at zero lash (so there is no play in them) and then tighten them down 3/4 - 1 1/2 turns more. hope this helps

I don't see why not,in my book a 350 is a good motor and will fit in i don't see why not,if they put 350's in a s-10 pick-up than it should fit in a nova,i have a nova it has a 307,i'm going to one day put a 350 in it,mines a 72 nova.
