Radiators do not have exhaust.
When a weird noise comes from the exhaust after stepping on the gas pedal, it could mean that there is a hole in the exhaust pipe. Sometimes the exhaust pipe will rust and need to be replaced.
Exhaust gasses are escaping through a hole or rotted section of exhaust system
If the pipe is in good enough shape you can weld over the hole, BUT If there is one small hole rusted in the system it is a good sign the pipe is rotted. There will be many other holes soon. There are probably more holes than you know about. You will probably have to have an exhaust shop put in a new pipe for you.
The exhaust on most small engines is a standard pipe thread , that goes inside the exhaust port . You can go to any plumbing supply store and get your pipe .
because your gas tank is in the center
it sounds like your exhaust manifold gaskets are leaking or you half a hole in your Y pipe
I had the same problem with mine. There is a metal piece in side of the exhaust pipe that can break loose and resonate (vibrate) with reving of the engine. The cheap and easy fix is to torch a small hole in the exhaust pipe and then weld the loose metal piece to wall of the exhaust pipe then weld the hole shut. Mines been good since. Please post if this is not the problem.
The exhaust pipe will need to be replaced, or, you can buy a quick-fix patch at your local auto parts store as a temporary fix. It's a treated "ribbon" about 2 or 3 inches wide that you can wrap around the exhaust pipe to cover the hole. The heat of the exhaust activates the chemicals in the "ribbon" to make it adherent. I believe the product is called a muffler repair kit.
The cause of an exhaust indicator light in a Volkswagen Beetle is probably an oxygen sensor. There also a possibility that an exhaust pipe is plugged or there is a hole due to rust.
Back of the block, to the left of the exhaust pipe.
Unburned fuel in the exhaust system causes the backfire from the exhaust pipe.
