there is a fuse in the fuse panel that controls the door chime
The door chime is located inside the driver's side door. It is part of an instrument cluster that controls the interior lights, locks, and alarm.
I was told that in the Expedition 2004 you can push the belt release button when the chime is going off and that stops it until the door is opened the engine is turned off. Good Luck
how do you get the entry codes for expedition eddie bower
wd40 in all door latches and strikers.
under the pedals
The driver's side door ajar sensor may not be working.
The sensor is intergrated into the door latch. If it is not working (and the door chime stays on) spray it with WD 40. This almost always works.
Locate the door chime...Locate the 1 bolt that holds the door chime. Pull down the chime.Use a flat screwdriver to release the clip that holds the casing and the plug-in.Remove the plug-in .Now the door chime will not bother you anymore :)
Chime
door chime is part of the lock tumbler inside the cloumn
It should be located under the dashboard. usually behind the center console (heater controls, stereo etc...) You should be able to just pull out the wire that is fitted into it. But be careful. The same chime is used to let you know if you've left your headlights on, or your keys in the ignition.
