on my Buick, when starting car it means it's checking the airbag inflater. If it stays on somethings wrong with the inflater.
Inflatable restraint. Aka, your airbag
No, however, it does mean the air bags won't work if there is an accident
it is the air bag system ,drivers side only, not working
The INFL REST light means that there is a problem with the air bag system. A code reader is required to find out the exact fix. Most auto parts stores will read the code for free.
Inflatable Restraint is a common occurrence. When the light illuminates, a code is stored within the CCM (Central Control Module). The code stored indicates a sensor problem - possibly a faulty sensor ground or faulty sensor or sensors.
It stands for Inflatable Restraint sensor might be faulty
I believe that is for your inflatable restraint system. Have your air bag systems checked.
It has to do with the Air Bag system.it stands for inflatable restraint could be anything from airbag simly being unpluged to a short
It is the airbag light. If the light stays solid, it means your airbag needs service. If it flashes, it's just self testing.
Well, darling, that little INFL REST light on your 1992 Geo Storm is just a fancy way of saying your tire pressure is low. It's like your car's way of saying, "Hey, pump me up, I'm feeling a bit deflated." So, grab your pump and show those tires some love before they throw a tantrum and leave you stranded on the side of the road.
INFL. REST. STANDS FOR INFLATABLE RESTRAINT. THERE IS AN AIR BAG READINESS LIGHT ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WHICH SHOWS INFL. REST. THIS LIGHT TELLS YOU IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH YOUR AIR BAG. YOU WILL SEE THIS LIGHT FLASH FOR A FEW SECONDS WHEN YOU TURN YOUR IGNITION TO "RUN" OR "START." THEN THE LIGHT SHOULD GO OUT, WHICH MEANS THE SYSTEM IS READY. IF THE AIR BAG READINESS LIGHT DOESN'T COME ON WHEN YOU START YOUR VEHICLE, OR STAYS ON, YOUR AIR BAG SYSTEM MAY NOT WORK PROPERLY.
