If you mean the ERG valve which relates to emission, I recommend having a mechanic do it, but the valve itself is not expensive about $50.00. I let this problem lag on and it blew a cap called a diverter valve that has something to do with vacuum, dont wait like I did.
Could be the Purge Control Valve.
The purge control valve is on backside of the throttle-body...it looks like a plastic inlet pipe that is missing tubing. There should be a small white/yellowish "cap" blocking the opening of the valve, just inside the inlet entrance. If it is turned-sideways (in constant open position) then you will have difficulty starting your car after filling-up at the pump. I have photos and will try to upload later....
The purge valve on the '96 626 is located on the passenger side of the engine. It bolts onto the intake manifold. There are 3 valves that make up this unit and all three are bolted on as one piece. Hope this helps. You can go to any auto parts website and search for purge valve and it will show you what it looks like.
where is the pcv valve located at and what does it look like on a 2001 infinity qx4?
at the shraider valve on top left hand side of engine. it looks like a tire valve. it has a black cap on it.
like the charcoal canister could be located in the passeanger wheel well.
Its on a small cylinder like thing, to the right of the valve cover. should have one or two leads connected to it
if you have a 2.0 spi motor its in the corner of the valve cover. does not look like a old style pcv valve
Torque converter going bad
It sticks out from the bottom of the air dryer, and is held in place by a snap ring. Emtpy the air out of the system before you take it out.
i got 18" on mine and they fit like a shiny glove
