I believe on almost any GM/Chevy/Pontiac vehicle you turn off DRL by pushing the dome light round grey switch, underneath the headlight switch. It will cycle between dome light on/off and DRL.
check out the folowing website for this: http://macgp.clubgp.com/howto/appearance/drl/drl.htm Hope this helps. "G"
no it should stay off because there is no power to it from the switch yes it will cause the drl has a sensor to let it know when they should come on.
the drl relay is in the fuse box
If you mean the sensor it is on top of the dash in the middle closest to the windshield, it's a little globe looking thing.
no one knows.it's a mystery!
DRL usually stands for Daytime Running Lights
DRL - Daytime Running Lights
open the fuse panel to expose the fuses. If there is a location guide or chart of fuses, remove the one labeled "drl." If there is no chart, look in the owners manual, it is listed with a diagram. I have found this to be the easiest way on a 97 model. On a 97 there is two fuses that control drl, one is a shared fuse and one is only drl. Make sure you pull the one that is strictly drl if yours has it.
If you lift your ebrake handle one notch, it will not engage the brake, but it will turn off your drl's. Or you could always pull the fuse.. :)
When i was trying to disable my DRL's (Daytime Running Lights) i pulled the fuse for them and my headlights and instrument lights were flashing intermittently. Check the fuse panel in the glove box and look for the DRL fuse. Check if its blown. Hope this helps!!!
You need to replace the DRL (Daytime running light) Module
