The Triple Alliance between Germany, Austria-Hungry and Italy was a secret alliance formed in May 1882. While no one joined the alliance in 1915, Italy did leave the alliance and join the allies.
Germany joined Austria-Hungary and Italy to create the triple alliance.
The Triple Alliance was an alliance to counter the Triple Entente, an other Alliance, it contained Germany, Austria-Hungary, the Ottoman Empire and Italy. Italy left the Triple Alliance on April 26th 1915 to join the Triple Entente in world war one
neither, they fought with Germany in both ww1 - triple alliance (Germany, Italy and austria hungay) vs the triple entente (Britain, France and russia) ww2 - Mussolini inspired Hitler
They didn't, that's when their alliance ended after the Italian people rejected Mussolini as leader.
Italy left the triple alliance because they felt that the side they were on was losing, so they left and joined the side they thought were going to win.

The Triple Alliance was Germany, Austria-Hungary, and (nominally) Italy. Italy basically didn't do much of anything (except see who was offering the better deal) for about a year, then broke off to join the war on the opposing side.

The Central Powers had included Germany and Austria-Hungary, which had later included Italy in what would be known as the Triple Alliance. In May of 1915, however, Italy had left the Triple Alliance to join the Triple Entente, which was surprised of Britain, France, and The United States, as well as their subsidiaries. Why it was that Italy had altered it's allegiance to the Triple Alliance was from the fact that it had previously decided to be neutral within the affairs of the Great War. It would seem to be as well from the fact that Austria-Hungary had military forces within the Northern Parts of Italy, causing Italy to have virtually no other choice yet to be with the Triple Alliance in the first place. Once Italy had left the Triple Alliance, the Ottoman Empire (now consisting of mainly Turkey) had involved itself with the Triple Alliance, as seen with Battle of Gallipoli.
