Yes, that can cause the fluid to foam up and leak out of the vent.
Cracked radiator end caps since the tranny fluid runs goes threw the caps for cooling that is the only way tranny fluid can get in the radiator
The vehicle speed sensor is located in the transaxle. If the technician forgot to pop the sensor far enough back into the hole, the tranny fluid could potentially leak out. I know, because this happened to me when I replaced my Speed sensor.
Smoke: A engine oil or tranny fluid or lower steering fluid LEAK. Steam: A water leak.
oil or tranny leak and dripping on exhaust
I have to assume you are talking about an automatic. But in either type of tranny the fluid will over heat foam up and expand, causing pressure in the trans case which could blow out some of the oil seals. this would cause a major oil leak and reduced life expectancy of the tranny.
Check to see if your transmission has a vacuum modulator. If it does, it could be leaking and fluid could be getting sucked into the engine. If it's a slow leak, the engine would burn that much fluid without too much trouble. See if there is a vacuum line between the transmission and engine. If so, disconnect it and see if there is fluid in it. If it has fluid, there is a vacuum leak in the transmission and you'll need to get it fixed.
apparently it needs a new gasket or there is a small hole in the housing itself.
A brake fluid leak in the brake system, LOW BRAKE FLUID.
there could possibly be an internal leak in the radiator if the lines from the trans are going to the radiator pull the rad cap and check the coolant and also fluid also burns up and sludges up
A low coolant level could cause the temp gauge not to read correctly. A faulty temp gauge sending unit could also be the cause. The coolant leak, you would have to find the source of the leak to determine the cause.
Oil or tranny fluid? Oil- engine rear main seal. Tranny- Input shaft seal
