its broken
Could be you are low on Power Steering Fluid. My 97 Villager seems to need it every 6-7 months. My van will make noises around corners (or hard steering) even if the level is "full". I fill it to the top and all the noises go away (at least for 6-7 months).
No. Low fluid alone should not cause that.
ticking noise when the gas pedal is pressed in a 2005 ford ranger
Ticking noises in a 1994 Mercury Topaz when idling could be due to issues with the valvetrain, such as worn lifters or valves. It could also be caused by a cracked exhaust manifold or a failing timing belt tensioner. It's best to have a mechanic inspect the car to properly diagnose and address the issue.
Probably the CV joint on the drive axle. Have it replaced before it drops out from under the car.
The ticking noises is the lifters slamming into the valves. They are not receiving the amount of oil they require to lubricate properly. Either the oil level is very low or something else is seriously wrong. Continuing to run the engine like this will lead to very early engine failure.
I've been looking into ownership of a z32 and i found on youtube many people with similar noises. Has the car been sitting? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEbfkRUZ1Sg&feature=related
Yes, "tick" is an onomatopoeia because it imitates the sound of a clock ticking or a small object making repetitive tapping noises.
Worn valve train? Hydraulic valve lifter worn or "hung-up"? Lack of lubrication to rocker arms?
It may me that your brake is on.
1999 Mercury front and humming noises can because by several things. Tire noises are the most common cause. A tire that is not wearing properly can cause a humming noise.
