We have a 99 with the straight six engine that has done the same thing since almost new. After replacing many electrical parts the dealer tells us it is sticky valves. To cure this the head would have to be rebuilt. We have been adding a pint of Marvel Mystery Oil in the fuel tank and the engine oil with every oil change and it seems to do better.
bad fuel filter
Most likely cause is a failed engine thermostat.
Cold month
lalalallaalallalallalalalal. i love SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS! & JACKIE MEDEWETZ!
No they will not, you will need a cold air intake for your 2.5.
Code 17 is engine cold too long. The normal cause is a failed thermostat.
most cars misfire when it is really cold. try to warm up your engine before starting it up. If it still misfires when it's a nice day, something is wrong with your engine (spark plugs, battery, etc.)
check igntion coils
check the neutral safety switch. Mine does the same thing. also you might not have reverse lights.

Eating unhealthy food will not cause you to get a cold. Viruses cause people to get a cold.
