hai my car is ford fiesta zetec 2003 5door ,in my cay o2 sensor have fault .can you tell me how many o2 sensor are there and were is location
Code P0158 means Downstream oxygen sensor maximum voltage monitor fault Code P0159 means Downstream oxygen sensor circuit slow response fault
Its primary fault is being a fiesta.
There is no such thing as a "circuit fault bank." That was the terminology your scan tool used to tell you that there is a fault in the downstream heated oxygen sensor circuit. There are three sensors screwed directly into the exaust system. Two you will see under the hood, screwed into exaust manifolds. Those are the upstream oxygen sensors. Now get under the truck. Find the lone sensor that looks like the other two, screwed into the exaust sytem after the catalytic converter. That is the downstream oxygen sensor. The downstream oxygen sensor circuit that there is a fault in, includes that sensor, and all the wiring in that circuit all the way back to the PCM (computer), and includes the PCM itself.
oxygen sensor fault, bank 1 sensor 2 (sensor 2 is after the catalytic converter) what car and engine would help
You will know, You'll get a fault code on your (OBC) on board computer system.
There are no symptoms since the knock sensor doesn't do anything unless the engine is detonating, in which case it would do nothing and you would hear it. The knock sensor code is often tripped when there is a fault in something else since it's part of the same circuit. This is considered a "ghost" error code.
A failed oxygen sensor could possibly cause a catalytic converter fault code.
The engine light comes on to show that there is a fault. Usually it is caused by a faulty sensor. You would need to have a diagnosis done of the Engine Management Unit to find out what the fault is. Taking your car to the dealer will cost between £60-£80 but you can buy a diagnostic tool quite cheaply from Ebay or Amazon which will give you a fault code telling what the fault is, if it is a minor fault you can reset it and the engine light will go out.
When the manufacturer says it should be changed, about 40000 miles to 60000 miles or when it no longer works. The 02 sensor can fial in many ways and couse many fault to do with fueling.
P0136 - downstream heated o2 sensor fault ( bank 1 ) That's the oxygen sensor in the exhaust pipe , on the passenger side of the engine , after the exhaust has passed through the catalytic converter possible causes : - pinched , shorted and corroded wiring + pins - crossed sensor wires - exhaust leaks - contaminated or damaged sensor
OBD 0068 indicates a fault in the MAP throttle position sensor.0068 indicates a fault in the MAP throttle position sensor.
