The water pump is driven by the Timing chain. It is behind the Timing cover on the front of the engine. When I did one, the headlights, Crossbrace between them, Intake Manifold, Valve Covers, and everything on the front of the engine had to come off. The timing chain had to be loosened by removing the cam tensioner(passenger side bank) and the Sprickets. Typical repair cost at a shop is $2383.00. Make sure you know your stuff!
