is your brake pedal hard as a rock? make sure you check the power brake pump relay 80 % the relay is bad. its located on drivers left side under hood against fire wall around master cyl make sure you first pick the right rekay second bring it and but it from dealer only if you ask nicley he will print the exact relay to change this car is loaded with relays and are the cause for most of the problems that occur with this model ive had about no bs 7 of these care and never changed a pressure pum just rekays hope it works if it does you will here the pump whine when the key is turned on good luck g

Remove the hydroboost unit from the firewall and replace it with the vacuum assisted booster. If you are careful you may be able to do this without disconnecting the brake lines. You will need new powersteering lines and find a vacuum source for the new booster.

if you have power brakes, then it may be a vacuum leak. probably near the master cylinder. there should be a hose from the motor to the master cylinder. its possible the hose is the problem, not the master cylinder. when the brake is pressed, the vacuum helps push the brakes. when the vacuum in the motor is down to near zero then the motor will stall. so check the brake stuff near the firewall.
