Find the source and repair it.
The first step is have the system checked for trouble codes. The cause will be the main factor in the repair.

P0700 is EATX (transmission) code present. You need to have the transmission computer checked for codes to know what to diagnose.

I have a Chrysler Town & country. My dash lights also went out. I purchased a Chilton's repair manual and gives fairly good instructions on doing it yourself. Takes about 20 minutes. The manual is about $25.00. Guarantee you'll pay around $150+ for this repair at the dealership.
