And any special equipment that you have on your vehicle." what i got from all that lingo from gm is max weight is 1000 lbs. i would not go over 1000 lbs. just remember that the grand am gt does not produce very much touque at low speed and rpm. the engine in the grand am gt is a mid range engine. if you are gonna tow in a area with a lot of upward grades your tranny is gonna work overtime. (make sure you have good clean oil, good clean coolant, tranny serviced- next to the engine it's gonna do most of the work.) good luck and i hoped this helped. vince
