remove the pretty plastic on the top of the motor once remove you will have direct access to the front 3 spark plugs, to remove the rear spark plugs remove the intake manifold and then you will be able to access the back bank of spark plugs. then reassemble everything. tools needed ratchet and sockets and large extension
Remove the spark plug wires from the spark plugs, use an extension for your Allen wrench, and use a spark plug socket to remove the spark plug.

Disconnect the battery, remove the spark plug cables and covers, and remove the old spark plugs. Next, put in the new spark plugs, attach the spark plug cables and covers, and connect the car battery.
The hemi has sixteen spark plugs.

They are under the 6 ignition coils. There is a coil for each spark plug. You have to remove the coils, and then remove the plugs.
You have to remove the intake plenum. It just unbolts.
To change spark plugs on a 5.9 2002 Dodge Ram 1500, locate the old spark plugs. These are located at the end of the 8 wires inside the vehicle's bonnet. Remove the old spark plugs and replace with new.
Remove the plastic covers of the air intake systems. There are two black rectangular covers on each side of the engine bay. Remove the bolts, the coils and spark plugs will be exposed. There are four (4) on each side, when you look down from the hood, from the front end of the car.
