Unscrew the bolts that connect the fans 2 the radiator then unplug the plugs and it should come out..
Remove the wiring harness from the back of your 1999 Cadillac Escalade radiator fan motor. Remove the radiator fan motor retaining bolts. The radiator fan will come off.
Plug a scanner into the ALDL port, then turn the ignition to "ON". The radiator fan should come on. If it does the relay is working. If the fan does not come on it doesn't mean the relay is necessarily bad. That could mean the relay is bad, or the fuse is blown, or the fan itself has failed.
If it has a properly fitted fan shroud, it doesn't matter how close the fan blades are to the radiator. If there is no fan shroud the fan blades will have to be within a couple of inches of the radiator.
Turn the AC on and the electric fan on the radiator should run.
you have to remove the fan this takes a specail tool then you will drain the radiator with the plug that's on the bottom corner of the radiator next disconnect the upper and lower hoses it should come out
the fan is located in front of the radiator you should be able to see it. its not a very big fan though. tilt your head a little and you should se it.
yes they should both be hooked to same sensor
Bad temperature sensor, but engine light should be on & it's code should come up.
Should run approx. 220 Cooling fan should come on at 235
Depends on how long the car was running. Let the car run for an hour at idle and if it never comes on, I would check the fan. It should come on at sometime. Check the relay..............I just had this problem on my '89 Beretta. DoratheExplorer
Check the thermostatic switch
