No, the front hubs are sealed units on a Grand Cherokee.
Remove the wheel from your 1993 Mercury Cougar. Loosen and remove the wheel bearing nuts. Remove the wheel seal and the wheel bearing. Reverse the process to install your new wheel bearing.
The front wheel bearing need to be pressed by a press. Unless you have a press, I suggest you take it to a shop that has one and have them do it. The bearings can be found at autozone, or advance auto cheaper than any garage can find them for.
first remove the wheel. next remove the hub nut in the middle of the rotor. it will be bent to keep it from twisting loose so you will first have to straighten the bend. next remove the nut. once that is all done install a flange on a slide hammer and bolt it to the rotor where the wheel is normally bolted to it. using the slide hammer will free the rotor from the spindle exposing the bearings
An easy way to do it is to put some wheel bearing grease in the palm of your hand and then, scoop up the grease with the end of the wheel bearing. You will see the excess grease come out from between the bearings. There's an instructional video included below also, that shows how to replace these on a 93-97 Ford Ranger.
In fact it' a 1993 festiva standard. How put off old plates on front discs braques?tancks!Constant
Remove wheel, remove the brake caliper and brake pads, Pull the dust cap. remove cotter pin. remove nut and washer. tilt the rotor back and forth to pop the bearings (front) remove rotor and pop the back bearings. This would be for a 2 wheel drive S-10.
