Yes, thatfuel injected 2.5 engine idle speed is controlled by the computer, via anISC (Idle Speed Control) relay and IAC (Idle Air Control) valve. The computerreceives input from various sensors such as air temperature and throttle position and sends the appropriate signal. Most of the time, a poor idle is due to build-up around the ISC valve. You can remove and clean it to see if that helps. You could also check for voltage at both to ensure the signal from the computer is being received. -JJohnson
There is no such thing as an idle air control sensor. The idle air control module or motor is located on the side of the throttle body assembly facing toward the engine.
Unmetered air sneaking in to the intake. Look for vacuum leaks.
Idle is computer controlled and can NOT be adjusted.
you can not as it is adjusted by the computor.
Idle is not adjustable. You have a electrical or vacuum issue that needs diagnosed.
You shouldn't have to, check for vacuum intake leaks
10 PSI minimum at idle
check your Idle sensor which is attached to your throttle body. This ussually goes bad and tends to rev the idle up. I had the same problem with my 99 wrangler.
600 to 1000 rpm, will vary by what the computer is aiming for.
Normal is 30 at idle. 50+ at 3000 rpm. Minimum is 12 at idle.
Hi, I had that same problem on my 93 2.5 wrangler. Check your vacuum hose connected to your map sensor. Mine had 2 holes in it which caused erratic idle and stalling after fixing ran fine.
The idle speed motor is on the back side of the throttle body.
